Support Our Work
AI is changing how people think. Almost nobody is studying that.
The AI industry spends billions on making models smarter. The question of what's happening to the humans using them gets almost nothing.
We're filling that gap. The Artificiality Institute studies how people actually change when they work with AI—how they make decisions, where they lose skills, when they stop noticing.
Your donation funds three things:
Original research at scale. We've collected over two thousand accounts of what happens to people's thinking when they work with AI—specific moments where something shifted in how they reason, judge, or create. No one else has this data. Your support funds the next stage: structured primary research and, eventually, tracking how these patterns develop over years.
A summit for practitioners. Our annual gathering brings together researchers, designers, and professionals to work on what human authorship looks like when AI can do more of the work. The summit covers its own costs, but your support funds deep discounts for educators and nonprofits who should be part of this.
Free public work that reframes the conversation. Most AI discourse treats human erosion as inevitable or irrelevant. We think AI should serve human capability, not replace it. Our essays, videos, frameworks, and podcasts make that case and give people practical ways to act on it. Everything we publish is free because this conversation belongs to everyone.
The AI side of this equation is well-funded. The human side is not.
